POOL REMODELS
We love swimming pools, but like all the best things in life, they come with a little bit of maintenance. Pools built over a decade ago were built with different technology than pools today, so a remodel can not only increase the value of your home, but also help save money in the long run.
A remodel can range from repair of damaged coping and fallen tile, to resurfacing the pool, or completely changing the type, shape, and depth. Each type of pool has its own specific maintenance needs. Here are some of the general warning signs that your pool is due for some updates:
1. The pool is not economically or energy efficient;
2. The pool needs frequent repair;
3. The pool has damage including discoloration, cracks or fallen tile;
4. The pool lacks modern safety features.
In a perfect world, a fiberglass pool is designed to last up to 30 years, a vinyl liner pool will last between 6-12 years, and a concrete pool should be resurfaced approximately every 10 years provided that the contractor installed the pool correctly, the terrain was stable, and the pool was well maintained. Sometimes, malfunctions are evident to the naked eye. For instance, you may notice spider cracks or experience bulges in the shell of a fiberglass pool and/or notice that your vinyl pool is not retaining water. Other problems, such as leak detection, require a professional diagnosis. Our team members are able to identify and correct maintenance issues ranging from drainage to pool equipment.
Tennessee Custom Pools specializes in the design, build, and remodel of gunite swimming pools. If you have a fiberglass or vinyl liner pool that is draining your wallet with repairs, we are able to help cover the current pool and/or remove it and replace it with a long lasting, low maintenance gunite swimming pool. Unfortunately, we do not recommend nor provide repairs on fiberglass or vinyl liner pools.
Lastly, if you are seeking to re-energize your space with a new deck, the addition of an outdoor living space, or fresh landscaping our team designs in 3D and can walk you through each new feature virtually.
